Marchica in Formigal: An experience dedicated to electronic music, preceded by a stunning audio-visual light and sound show featuring 200 drones.
Medusa, the electronic music festival, has designed an unprecedented audiovisual spectacle for its winter edition in the Pyrenees. On Saturday, January 17, the Aragonese ski resort will be the setting for an aerial show of luminous drones that will trace figures approximately 100 meters high above the Marchica area.
On Saturday, starting at 5:00 PM, the Marchica terrace will transform into a large open-air dance floor, with thousands of skiers grooving to the rhythm of dance music. These types of aerial drone shows have already captivated audiences at the summer editions of the Medusa festival in Cullera (Valencia) and have become one of the most distinctive elements of its artistic offering.
A total of 200 drones, controlled from the ground by a computer system and wireless signals, will draw figures in the sky thanks to their multi-colored LEDs. The show will be part of the opening ceremony and will consist of an audiovisual and luminous choreography, accompanied by voice and music, that will surprise thousands of skiers after sunset.
The DJ booth will feature the Vini Vici duo, international psy-trance pioneers ranked #32 in DJ Mag's Top 100, alongside DJs From Mars, known for their electronic remixes of hits from all genres and regulars at David Guetta's parties in Ibiza. The lineup is completed by another exceptionally unique duo, 2Serna, comprised of Miguel Serna, a historical figure of the Ruta del Bakalao, and his daughter Brenda Serna, one of the most promising artists in Spain's current nightlife scene.
