Summer in Baqueira Beret, Val d’Aran and Valls d’Àneu is much more than a break between seasons. Culture and Music Amidst the Mountains

The cultural agenda kicks off strong on July 30th with a very special concert on the terrace of Cap del Port, at an altitude of 2,000 meters. Singer Judit Neddermann and guitarist Pau Figueres will present their new album in an intimate format, as part of the Dansàneu festival. The event will be at 7 p.m., complemented by dinner at Parrec Bonaigua and an astronomical observation at 10 p.m.

On August 5th, Baqueira’s main festival, in honor of the Virgen de las Nieves, will be celebrated. The Fórum 1500 square will come alive with a popular vermouth, concerts, and activities for children. A week later, on August 12th, Beret becomes a meeting point to observe the Perseids, with an open chairlift, live music by Command-C, and service at Parrec and the Beret restaurant.

Throughout the month, the Musiques deth Romànic festival offers concerts in Romanesque churches and heritage sites in the valley, fusing history, spirituality, and music in unique settings.

Wellness, Games, and Outdoor Leisure

Hotel Montarto offers yoga sessions with breakfast included every Saturday (except August 16th) between 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. in its garden. A perfect way to start the day in harmony with the natural surroundings.

For families, on Fridays, August 8th and 15th, children’s craft workshops are organized, and at Borda Lobato, every Saturday afternoon (and on some weekdays), afternoon sessions with a DJ or live music are held, including outdoor salsa classes.

Sport and Adventure: A Summer to Get Moving

Sporting activity continues throughout August. From the 8th to the 10th, Baqueira hosts the She Bikes Gravity Experience, an exclusive event for women passionate about enduro and downhill. It includes sessions on the resort's flow trails, accommodation, a welcome pack, official t-shirt, raffles, and a barbecue. It is open to both experienced riders and beginners.

On August 9th, the demanding Montlude Skyrace will be held, with two routes: one of 32 km and 3,000 m of positive elevation gain and another more accessible one of 9 km and 600 m. The technical and spectacular route crosses the Tuc de Montlude and Lac de Laujò, between Bossòst and Les. Registration is limited to protect the natural environment.

To close the month, on August 30th and 31st, the traditional Corsa e Caminada des 15 Pòbles will be celebrated, a sports and culture festival that tours the villages of Baish Aran. It offers different modalities: a 21.5 km race, an 11 km race, a 15 km walk, and a 5 km children's challenge. The festive atmosphere and the beauty of the routes make this event an experience for all ages.
