Summer in Andorra is no longer off-peak season. Mountain resorts have successfully transformed their offerings, turning the warmer months into an opportunity. With hiking trails, leading bike parks in the Pyrenees, family activities, and wellness proposals, the country has achieved occupancy rates close to those of winter. The strategy works: more visitors, more overnight stays, and diversification that solidifies Andorra as a four-season destination.
The ski resorts of Andorra, Grandvalira, Pal Arinsal, and Ordino Arcalís, have concluded a 2025 summer season with positive results and innovations that set a new standard for mountain tourism.
Attendance was slightly higher than in previous years, with particular success in offerings such as the new Bike World at Pal Arinsal, Grandvalira's e-bike circuits, and the established Mirador Solar de Tristaina in Ordino Arcalís.
Pal Arinsal: bikes for everyone
One of the main novelties has been the launch of Bike World, a themed area designed for all ages and skill levels. With distinct zones for learning and progression, it was designed to promote cycling in a safe and fun way. Its positive reception has confirmed it will remain for future seasons.
The iconic Bike Park of Pal Arinsal, a benchmark in Southern Europe, saw its attendance increase by 9% until September 14 (not counting visitors to the UCI MTB World Cup), and will remain open on weekends until October 12. Events such as the Vuelta a España and the MoraBanc Clàssica have also enhanced the resort's visibility.
Grandvalira: more trails, more experiences
This was the third summer for Grandvalira's E-Bike Trails project, featuring 105 km of routes specially designed for electric bicycles. This year saw the addition of the new Commencal Track Cyclone, a trail with a 450-meter elevation gain that is already a favorite among cyclists.
The Funicamp, the main access point to these circuits, saw an 11% increase in users, reaching 13,100 visitors. Additionally, complementary activities were enhanced: 4x4 excursions, catch-and-release fishing in the Cubil lake, or the new via ferrata of Clots de l’Aspra guided by Grandvalira Mountain Guides.
In the Grau Roig sector, Llac dels Pessons and its restaurant were once again an essential stop for hikers and lovers of high-mountain gastronomy.
Ordino Arcalís: the most visited postcard
The Mirador Solar de Tristaina was, once again, Ordino Arcalís' major summer attraction. Until September 14, it welcomed more than 59,000 visitors. Since its opening in 2021, it has surpassed 400,000, consolidating its position as one of Andorra's main summer tourist draws.
The experience was complemented by a gastronomic offering of equal caliber. Borda la Coma offered mountain cuisine and rice dishes; Refugio de Sorteny, traditional Andorran dishes; and Kokoi terrace, a more informal yet equally refined proposal.
Soldeu and Canillo, golf, families, and altitude
The family park Mon(t) Magic in Canillo maintained stable numbers, attracting families with activities such as the Màgic Gliss, the 500-meter zip-line, archery, and kayaking.
Meanwhile, the Golf de Soldeu, Europe's highest 9-hole course at over 2,000 meters, closed with a 20% growth. This year, it incorporated a new minigolf on the terrace of the Wine & Meat Bar by Jean Leon restaurant, which will remain open until September 28.
