Baqueira Beret tops one million skiers and solidifies its international growth in a snow-filled season.
Baqueira Beret closes the 2025-2026 winter season with figures that confirm its consistency within the European landscape. The resort has once again surpassed one million visitors, making it the second-best season in its recent history.

This figure is not an isolated one. It marks the fourth time in five years that the resort has crossed this threshold, consolidating a trend of sustained growth.
The campaign was defined by a clear combination: abundant snow, operational stability, and an increasingly effective international strategy.
During its 129 opening days, Baqueira accumulated up to 944 cm of snow at high altitudes and maintained optimal depths throughout the season. Intense snowfalls — with up to 50 cm in a single day — defined a challenging winter, but also elevated the on-piste experience.
The weather, in fact, was a key factor. With 41 days of snowfall and 59 cloudy days, the resort operated under harsher than usual conditions. Nonetheless, only two full closures were recorded, reinforcing its operational capability.
This context also altered skier behavior. A greater distribution of visitors was observed on Fridays and Mondays, along with longer stays, a clear sign of the public adapting to more variable conditions.

In parallel, piste maintenance was crucial. With up to 132 km prepared in a single night and a production of nearly one million cubic meters of snow, the resort ensured a consistent skiable area even during critical periods of the season.
One of the most significant aspects of the year was the growth in international visitors. Markets such as the United States tripled their presence, while Brazil, Portugal, and Scandinavian countries continued to gain ground. This momentum, combined with the loyalty of national and French visitors, strengthened the resort's global positioning.
In terms of distribution, the domain maintained an operational balance across its sectors: Baqueira concentrated 45.1% of visitors, Beret 35.6%, and Bonaigua 17.6%, while Baciver continued to consolidate as a technical area for advanced skiers.
Beyond on-piste activity, the resort maintained high occupancy in its services. Hotel Montarto recorded an average of 85%, and areas such as rentals, restaurants, and lockers operated at full capacity, providing a complete experience for visitors.
The season also had a significant impact on international visibility thanks to events such as the Freeride World Tour Baqueira Pro and the Alpine Skiing European Cup, which projected the resort’s image globally with audiences exceeding 180 million.
With the winter closing, Baqueira Beret is already activating its next phase. The summer season will run from July 1st to September 6th, extending its duration and enhancing its offerings with hiking, mountain biking, and the opening of key lifts such as Bosque and Clòt der Os.
The balance is clear: a meteorologically challenging season, operationally solid, and strategically effective. Baqueira not only maintains its position but continues to expand its reach.
