Aramón approaches the December long weekend with all its resorts operational and nearly 100 kilometers of skiable terrain, an especially strong start to the season thanks to the sharp drop in temperatures in recent days and the continuous work of the piste and snowmaking teams. These conditions have ensured a quality base and opened a wide range of slopes for skiers who will inaugurate the festive long weekend in the snow.
In the Valle de Tena, Formigal-Panticosa is shaping up to be the main draw for the December long weekend. The ski area will offer skiers 77 skiable kilometers and a wide range of operational lifts, with powder snow across most of the terrain.
Panticosa will officially kick off its season on Friday, December 5th, while Formigal — the first to open its slopes this winter — will keep all its skiable offerings operational throughout the festive week, thus consolidating the valley's appeal at one of the key moments of the season's start.
In the Valle de Benasque, Cerler plans to start the season on Saturday, December 6th, offering 6 skiable kilometers in the Ampriu sector. The opening will include the operation of the Batisielles chairlift, which will provide access to three already conditioned slopes, in addition to the area for beginners.
Forecasts of low temperatures and the possibility of new snowfalls inspire optimism for the long weekend, while snowmaking systems will continue to operate to increase the skiable domain as conditions permit.
At the resorts in the province of Teruel, Valdelinares will start the season this Saturday, offering 7 skiable kilometers with quality powder-packed snow, ensuring favorable conditions for skiing. Accesses and essential services will be fully operational, while technical teams remain active to expand the number of slopes as soon as the weather allows.
Javalambre, for its part, will open its tobogganing area to the public, one of the most popular areas for families and beginners. In addition, the resort keeps its entire artificial snowmaking system in operation with the aim of increasing the skiable surface as soon as cold conditions permit.
