Fifth Edition of the Freeride World Tour to take place in Baqueira Beret

International freeride will focus on the Pyrenees next January. Baqueira Beret will host, from January 16 to 21, 2026, the fifth edition of the Baqueira Pro by Movistar, an event that will open the Freeride World Tour calendar and is the circuit's only stop in the Pyrenees, reinforcing the Aranese resort's role as one of the world's leading references in this discipline.

As the only Freeride World Tour event in the Pyrenees, Baqueira Beret marks the start of the season with its distinctive style. Its more than 2,000 hectares of high-mountain terrain, consistently high snow quality, and diverse lines mean that, once again, Tuc de Bacivèr (2,644 m) is established as an ideal setting for elite freeride.

As previously mentioned, the competition will take place within the weather window between January 16 and 21, allowing the organization to select the most suitable day based on snow and safety conditions. Simultaneously, Baqueira Beret will deploy a wide program of activities and significant media coverage that will project Val d’Aran internationally. The 2026 season will feature notable Spanish participation in the Freeride World Tour, with Abel Moga, Maria Castellví (event wildcard), and Núria Castán integrated into the circuit with the support of the RFEDI.

Undoubtedly, this presence highlights the evolution of freeride nationally and reinforces Baqueira Beret's role as an epicenter and driving force for the development of this discipline in Spain.
