Ford Chile Visa Winter Series 2025 Kicks Off, Consolidating Chile as Southern Hemisphere's Winter Hub

With four confirmed venues, over 18 days of competition, and 600 athletes on the slopes, the Ford Chile Winter Series Visa 2025 is established as the most significant winter sports event in the Southern Hemisphere. It commenced on July 24 in El Colorado with four slalom races, signaling the start of the 2025/26 season.

More than 160 skiers from 27 countries competed on the "Cóndor" slope, located above 3,000 meters, a setting that combines technical challenge with imposing landscapes.

Chile, a key player in the winter calendar

“For four years, we have offered a high-level environment for both Chilean and international racers. With this championship, Chile solidifies its prestige in international skiing,” stated Stefano Pirola, President of the Chilean Ski and Snowboard Federation.

Competition director and former Olympic athlete Jorge Mandrú highlights the winning formula:

“First-class sporting experience, unique landscapes, and the world's best competitors. The result is an unparalleled cocktail in this part of the world.”

Four venues, five Olympic disciplines

This year's circuit is structured around four ski resorts, encompassing five Olympic disciplines and points counting towards the FIS world ranking and qualification for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic Games:

• El Colorado: Inaugural venue, hosting the first slalom races.
• La Parva: Will host the traditional Alpine Skiing speed event.
• Corralco: Its slopes on Volcán Lonquimay will host the South American Cup Finals in speed disciplines, including Snowboard Cross and Ski Cross.
• Antillanca: Final stop of the circuit, where the last FIS races of the season will be held.

More than 32 nations are expected to participate, which reinforces the circuit's appeal not only as a competitive event but also as a platform for global visibility for Chilean resorts.
