Masella Modernizes Its Slopes and Offers Accessible Ski Passes

The Cerdanya resort has launched an ambitious modernization plan that includes the comprehensive renovation of its machine room, along with the update of slopes and services, with the aim of extending the winter season and improving the overall experience for skiers.

The main project focuses on the complete rehabilitation of the Pla de Masella Machine Room, complemented by the partial replacement of snow cannons on the La Plana slope, replacing them with latest-generation equipment that is more efficient and environmentally friendly. According to the resort's management, these improvements will reduce energy consumption by around 25% and increase snow production capacity by up to 30%, even in adverse weather conditions.

In addition, Masella will carry out complementary interventions on the slopes, including the installation of new signage, stone removal, and optimization of drainage systems, measures aimed at preserving natural snow for longer, especially in spring and in lower altitude areas.

Regarding customer services, the resort continues to drive its digitalization, offering online sale and reloading of ski passes with a 3 euro discount per person. New vending machines have also been installed at Pla de Masella to reduce queues at ticket offices and streamline access to the slopes.

The ski workshop has been renovated with a fast skiman service, allowing for more efficient repairs and adjustments, while rental equipment has been updated with gear from renowned brands such as Elan, Salomon, and Head, improving rent-a-ski management and the quality of available equipment.

Regarding season passes, Masella maintains a flexible and customizable offer, with modalities adapted to different profiles: Full Season, Weekdays (working days), No Saturdays, Night, Afternoons, as well as family and corporate packages. Additionally, multi-resort benefits are expanded, favoring a more accessible and versatile experience for regular skiers.

This season, some passes include additional benefits, such as skiing one night at Masella and access to more than 80 international snow destinations, plus 14 valid days at other Pyrenees resorts —in Catalonia, France, and Andorra—, making it a unique opportunity to enjoy skiing this season.
