El Colorado reaffirmed its place as a freestyle epicenter in South America with the XIX edition of El Rey del Park, bringing together more than 100 riders in a show of technique, creativity, millionaire prizes and a vibrant community that celebrates skiing and snowboarding at the highest level.

El Rey del Park once again crowned its top contenders. The 19th edition of South America's most significant freestyle competition gathered over 100 ski and snowboard riders, reaffirming El Colorado as the epicenter of snow sports.

A High-Altitude Show

On Saturday, all eyes were on the Chilean competitors, who delivered routines blending technique and creativity. In men's snowboarding, Álvaro Yañez claimed the title after a brilliant performance, featuring precise jumps, solid rail tricks, and a style that electrified the crowd. In the women's category for the same discipline, the crown went to Antonia Yañez, who, with her fresh and solid approach, demonstrated the strong future of Chilean women's snowboarding.

Freestyle skiing also delivered memorable moments. Javiera Rojas emerged as champion in the women's category with a flawless execution, while in the men's event, Canadian Oliver G stole the show with tricks that convinced the judges to award him first place.

The course designed for this edition lived up to international championship standards. Perfectly sculpted ramps, challenging rails, and a layout that encouraged creativity set the tone for the day. "This year, we built a high-level course because we are one of South America's most important freestyle championships. The skill level of both national and international athletes has grown remarkably," noted Andrés Donaire, head of El Colorado snowparks.

Winners not only earned recognition but also shared a prize pool exceeding 10 million pesos in prizes and cash, thanks to the support of brands like VISA, BCI, La Bolsa del Ski, Burton, Volcom, Red Bull, Husky, Deluxe Labs, among others. This backing reinforces the event's consolidation as a platform that showcases talent and connects the freestyle community.
