Moncler Redefines Winter Footwear

Clarks Originals, Rick Owens, and Moon Boot meet Moncler's alpine language in three new interpretations of winter footwear.

This winter, the mountain begins underfoot.

For FW26, Moncler brings together three collaborations that explore different ways of wearing winter: with Clarks Originals, Rick Owens, and Moon Boot. Three names with their own languages that find common ground in the terrain Moncler knows best: the mountain.

First to arrive is the Trailgrip Wallabee GTX, born from its collaboration with Clarks Originals. The recognizable British Wallabee changes terrain without losing its identity. Suede, in beige and khaki tones, meets a construction prepared for more demanding conditions, with a waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex lining and Vibram's Trailgrip sole. Beneath the classic moccasin profile appears a technical construction designed to offer stability and grip on wet, dry, or uneven surfaces.

It's a combination that works precisely through contrast: the familiarity of an urban classic and the technology of a piece born for the mountain.

In November comes the Trailgrip Megalace, created with Rick Owens. The collaboration takes Moncler's technical character into a more sculptural territory. Leather and padded materials are organized into overlapping curved panels, while the Megalace lacing system creates a graphic gesture on the upper. The silhouette rests on a lightweight midsole and Vibram sole, maintaining the functionality of the Trailgrip family.

Rick Owens introduces something distinct here: proportion, volume, and a certain architectural tension. Technology ceases to be solely functional, becoming also part of the form.

The third collaboration is born directly from the snow. Moon Boot x Moncler Grenoble Icon High Rodeo takes the recognizable Moon Boot silhouette and transports it into the Western imaginary. Presented in Aspen, the boot combines suede and nubuck with embroidery, nappa leather details on the heel and shaft, and a palette that moves between Chestnut and Caribou.

There is something deliberately hybrid about it. The snow boot meets the cowboy boot, two objects born in very different landscapes that share a common idea: protecting the foot and facing the terrain. The result retains the personality of Moon Boot but acquires a new dimension within the Moncler Grenoble universe.

To these three pieces is added the evolution of the house's own icons. The Trailgrip GTX, the Trailgrip Lite3, and the Trailgrip Apex GTX continue to develop the family that has made mountain technology one of Moncler's recognizable codes. Alongside them appear new silhouettes such as Vera Edge, Peak Snowcap, and Altive Mid, designed to accompany winter beyond the snow.

The thread that unites the entire proposal is not a common aesthetic, but a way of understanding footwear. The protection, grip, lightness, and stability that we normally associate with alpine terrain find a new life in the city.

Clarks brings the familiarity of a British classic. Rick Owens, a more radical vision of form. Moon Boot, the memory of snow. Moncler unites them under a single principle: designing for winter without limiting itself to one landscape.

Because winter is also walked in the city.
