Quim Salarich Secures 13th Place at Madonna di Campiglio Night Slalom

Catalan skier Quim Salarich delivered a high-level performance, finishing 13th in the Madonna di Campiglio Night Slalom, one of the most iconic events on the Alpine Ski World Cup calendar.

Salarich arrived at the Italian event having strung together several races where he had demonstrated the technical and physical level needed to compete among the world's best specialists. However, until now, he had lacked that small factor of luck essential to regularly establish himself among the top 30. On this occasion, the story was different.

With great determination, the Catalan tackled the first run with a very well-planned line and a clean execution, without errors, which allowed him to place 22nd. A result that guaranteed his passage to the second run, which also served to release the tension and frustration accumulated in previous events.

In the second run, the goal was to recover as many positions as possible and climb the final classification. The course, designed by the Austrian team, presented enormous technical demands, with sections where it was essential to ski high, with millimeter precision, and without room for error to maintain an effective line. The difficulty of the course became evident when the first four racers failed to complete the run.

In this context, Salarich once again demonstrated solidity and competitive maturity, taking advantage of the circumstances and delivering a high-level second run that allowed him to climb to the 13th final position. A result that confirms his progress in the World Cup and strengthens his bid to consolidate himself among the best slalom skiers on the international circuit.
