Since 1985, the Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz has gathered six international teams on a frozen lake at an altitude of 1,800 meters. What began as an audacious proposal by Reto Gaudenzi has consolidated into one of Europe's most exclusive winter events.

For three days, the 200 x 80 meter field becomes the epicenter of a sport that adapts its rules and equipment to the terrain:

The ponies, mostly Argentinian, are specially transported for the event. They adapt to the cold thanks to special hoof protections and a climate control system in their resting areas.
