Tails on Trails: A Mountain, Dogs, and Solidarity Festival at Mt. Hood Meadows Tails on Trails Unites Mountain, Dogs, and Solidarity in a Festival with Hikes, Music, and Charitable Activities at Mt. Hood Meadows.
Next Saturday, August 16th, Mt. Hood Meadows will swap skis and boards for collars and leashes to celebrate the inaugural edition of Tails on Trails, an outdoor event designed for enjoying a new adventure with pets.
From 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the resort will open its trails for a festival combining nature, music, and activities for all ages and animals. There will be guided and free walks for dogs, photo sessions for souvenirs, adapted pools for cooling off, live music, and special gastronomic options, including original SnoCones for dogs.
The day will also feature raffles with prizes and challenges; those who participate in the walks can join the Summer Trail Challenge, presented by The North Face on Strava, accumulating kilometers and chances to win more rewards. Both Tails on Trails and this challenge are part of Mt. Hood Meadows' summer calendar, active until September 1st.
Admission costs $20 if purchased online in advance, or $25 on the day of the event at the resort. The price includes special items for dogs and a raffle ticket; additional tickets can be purchased during the event. All proceeds will go to Hood River Adopt A Dog, a non-profit organization that cares for, trains, and prepares dogs to find permanent, loving homes.
Hood River Adopt works daily to provide animals with veterinary care, exercise, socialization, and affection. Adopting, donating, or participating in their programs is a direct way to give a second chance to dogs awaiting a family.
