The Spirit of Freeride Returns Wildest Yet: The Freeride World Tour 2026

The roar of freeride returns to the planet's most iconic mountains. The Freeride World Tour 2026, presented by Peak Performance, is back with six stops across Europe and North America, igniting passion for snow, speed, and freedom.

This will be the 19th season of the world's most prestigious freeride circuit, bringing thrilling news to the entire community: Alaska is back on the map, hosting one of two grand finals alongside Verbier. The return of Haines—absent since 2017—symbolizes a return to the sport's wildest origins.

The adventure begins in Baqueira Beret (Spain), from January 16 to 21, with the emblematic Tuc de Bacivèr as its stage. This Pyrenean spot, already established as a global freeride hub, will set the tone for a season promising spectacular action.

From January 24 to 29, the action moves to Val Thorens (France), in the heart of Les Trois Vallées, where riders will tackle the dizzying lines of Cime Caron. In February, the tour will venture into the Caucasus Mountains for a stop in Georgia (February 22–28), where the raw power of nature meets the warmth of local culture.

March brings maximum tension with the event in Fieberbrunn (Austria), from the 5th to the 10th. On its legendary Wildseeloder face, athletes will battle for a spot in the finals. Only 60% will make it past The Cut and advance to the planet's most feared and admired peaks.

The Finals promise pure excitement:

• YETI Alaska Haines Pro (March 15–22): the return to Alaska's infinite mountains, where the lines are as beautiful as they are unforgiving.
• YETI Xtreme Verbier (March 28–April 5): the cathedral of freeride, the Bec des Rosses, where the sport's history is written annually amidst rocks and impossible slopes.
