The Three Wise Men Ski into Sierra Nevada for a Magical Arrival

Sierra Nevada experienced one of its most symbolic winter scenes with the arrival of the Three Wise Men skiing down the El Río slope. The afternoon was marked by snowfall and fog, adding magic to the scene.

Their Majesties descended, preceded by a procession of children from a dozen competition clubs of the Andalusian Winter Sports Federation and instructors from fifteen ski schools at the resort. The entourage reinforced the link between grassroots sport, tradition, and snow culture that defines Sierra Nevada.

Leading the way for the Star of Illusion, the Telemark Rikitaum group, dressed in period costumes, added a historical touch to the parade. This year, the star was carried by Erika Ruiz, a young mogul skier from the Sierra Nevada technical training center, in a gesture connecting the present and future of Andalusian skiing.

Through the fog appeared Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltasar, accompanied by their pages, greeting children on both sides of the final stretch of El Río. After the descent, the celebration continued in Plaza de Andalucía, where the Kings distributed gifts alongside Christmas characters to families, skiers, and visitors.

The procession was organized by Cetursa Sierra Nevada, the Andalusian Winter Sports Federation, the Monachil City Council, the association of resort entrepreneurs, and Puleva, who offered hot chocolate in the square, concluding a day where tradition once again seamlessly integrated into the Sierra Nevada landscape.
