Val Thorens Crowned "World's Best Ski Resort" by World Ski Awards

The French resort Val Thorens, located in the Tarentaise Valley (Savoie), has once again solidified its position as one of the most prominent ski destinations in the Alps. Part of Les Trois Vallées, the largest interconnected ski area on the planet with over 600 kilometers of slopes, the resort attracts both experienced skiers and tourists seeking to enjoy the mountains in a premier setting.

Its altitude of over 2,300 meters guarantees quality snow throughout the season, establishing it as an international benchmark for ski enthusiasts.

Recently, the resort received top honors at the World Ski Awards 2025, one of the most significant events in the sector. The awards are determined by an online vote open to enthusiasts and professionals in the tourism industry, recognizing the world’s best resorts, hotels, chalets, and snow operators.

In the global category, Val Thorens surpassed renowned competitors such as Deer Valley (USA), Cerro Castor (Argentina), Cervinia (Italy), and Whistler Blackcomb (Canada).

Among this year's most notable accolades, the W Verbier (Switzerland) was recognized as the best mountain hotel, while The Lodge Verbier, owned by Sir Richard Branson, received the award for the world's best ski chalet. Meanwhile, Skiworld UK was chosen as the best snow tour operator, and HeliSki Russia earned distinction for offering the best adventure ski experience.

With these recognitions, Val Thorens reaffirms its position as a global reference destination, combining snow quality, premier infrastructure, and unique tourist experiences in the French Alps.
