Verbier to Host Historic Freeride World Tour 2026 Grand Finale on the Bec des Rosses

The Freeride World Tour 2026 concluded its season with a remarkable final at the Bec des Rosses in Verbier, one of the most demanding faces in global freeriding.

The event, part of the YETI Xtreme Verbier, was held in optimal conditions following previous snowfalls, which delivered around 50 centimeters of fresh snow.

Men's Snowboard: Liam Rivera's Victory and Victor de Le Rue's Fifth Title

Swiss rider Liam Rivera claimed victory in the Snowboard Men category with a score of 96 points, the highest ever recorded in this discipline in Verbier.

Meanwhile, France’s Victor de Le Rue finished in second place, a result sufficient to secure his fifth Freeride World Tour title, becoming the first rider to achieve this milestone.

The podium was completed by fellow Frenchman César Barin, with 73.67 points.

Men's Ski: Ben Richards Closes a Dominant Season

New Zealander Ben Richards won the men's ski final with 96 points, securing his third victory of the season after Baqueira Beret and Val Thorens.

With this result, Richards is crowned Freeride World Tour 2026 champion, completing a campaign of clear dominance.

American Toby Rafford was second with 94.67 points, followed by German Tiemo Rolshoven, third with 93 points.

Spain's Abel Moga finished in eighth position after a very vertical line, ending the season in 11th place overall.

Women's Ski: Double Win for Rookie Lou Barin

French rider Lou Barin achieved victory at the YETI Xtreme Verbier with 95 points, a result that also secured her the Freeride World Tour title in her debut season.

Canadian Justine Dufour-Lapointe finished in second place with 79.67 points, while Switzerland's Sybille Blanjean was third with 78.97 points.

Women's Snowboard: Mia Jones Wins and Becomes Champion

American Mia Jones secured her third victory of the season in Verbier, which also allowed her to claim the Freeride World Tour 2026 title.

Jones scored 87 points in her descent on the Bec des Rosses, consolidating a remarkable debut season.

French rider Anna Martinez was second with 79.67 points, and Australian Michaela Davis-Meehan completed the podium with 78 points.

Season Closure

The 2026 Freeride World Tour season was marked by variable conditions and the cancellation of some events, although it concluded with a final held in optimal conditions in both Alaska and Verbier.

Among the season's highlights are Victor de Le Rue's fifth title, the dominant seasons of Ben Richards and Mia Jones, and rookie Lou Barin's double win in her first year on the circuit.

The tour will return next winter with a new edition of the Freeride World Tour.
